(Integrated Inner/Outer Ring Type)

RU series crossed roller bearing  (Inner ring integrated with Outer Ring): Since the mounting holes are provided, the model does not require a presser flange or housing. In addition, because it has an integrated inner and outer ring structure and is equipped with washers, its performance is minimally affected by the mounting procedure, ensuring stable rotation accuracy and torque. This model can be used for both inner-ring rotation and outer-ring rotation.

Installation Steps:

When installing the cross roller bearing, follow the steps below.

Inspection of components before installation

Thoroughly clean the support seat or other installation parts, and confirm whether there are burrs or burrs.

Insert the cross roller bearing into the support seat or shaft

Because it is a thin-walled bearing, it is prone to tilt when inserted. In order to prevent this phenomenon, please keep the level while hitting it evenly with a plastic hammer, and carefully insert the cross roller bearing into the support seat or on the shaft little by little until it is confirmed by the sound that it is completely close to the reference surface.

Installation of a fixed flange

(1) Place the fixed flange on the cross roller bearing. Shake the fixed flange several times to match the position of the bolt hole.

(2) Insert the fixing bolts into the holes. When turning the bolts by hand, make sure that the bolts are not difficult to screw in due to the deviation of the bolt holes.

(3) As shown in Figure 1, the locking of the fixing bolts can be divided into 3 to 4 stages from incomplete locking to full locking, and tighten them repeatedly in the diagonal order. When tightening the divided inner ring or outer ring, slightly rotating the integrated outer ring or inner ring can correct the deviation of the inner and outer ring from the main body.

Locking sequence

Lubrication:

(1) Since the crossed roller bearings are filled with high-quality lithium soap-based grease No. 2, you can start using it without adding grease. However, this product needs regular lubrication, because its internal space is smaller compared with ordinary roller bearings, and because it is a rolling contact structure, the rollers need to be lubricated frequently.

In order to replenish grease, a lubrication hole is machined, which communicates with the oil groove provided in the inner and outer rings. As for the lubrication cycle, even when the frequency of use is low, the grease belonging to the same series should usually be replenished every 6 to 12 months so that the grease is distributed throughout the internal structure of the bearing.

In addition, if the bearing is filled with grease, the initial rotation torque will temporarily increase due to the viscous resistance of the grease: However, as the excess grease flows out of the sealing baffle, the torque will return to the normal level in a short time. However, thin products do not have an oil groove. Please install an oil groove on the inner diameter side of the support base for lubrication.

(2) Please avoid mixing oils with different properties.
