Product details

Tungsten Carbide End Mills is a tool made of tungsten steel (tungsten carbide). Generally, it is mainly used in CNC machining centers and CNC engraving machines. It can also be installed on ordinary milling machines to process some relatively hard and uncomplicated heat-treated materials. Tungsten steel milling cutters are widely used and high-speed machining is used. The hardness of tungsten steel milling cutter is Vickers 10K, second only to diamond. Because of this, the tungsten steel milling cutter is not easy to be worn, and it is brittle and hard and not afraid of annealing.

Application

Face Milling

Tungsten Carbide End Mills can be used for face milling. However, because its main declination angle is 90°, in addition to the main cutting force, the force on the tool is mainly radial force, which is easy to cause deflection and deformation of the tool bar, and also easy to cause vibration, which affects the processing efficiency. Therefore, in addition to similar thin bottom workpieces Except for special reasons such as the need for small axial forces or the occasional reduction in tool inventory for face milling, end mills are not recommended for machining flat surfaces without steps.

Side Milling

Most workpieces suitable for machining with Tungsten Carbide End Mills have one or more sidewall faces that are perpendicular to the bottom surface (this face is parallel to the milling machine spindle), which brings about a problem that does not exist in face milling: sidewall shape and accuracy issues.
